Dr. Pradeep P. Thevannoor Innovation Awards- 2018

Dr. Pradeep P. Thevannoor

Dr. Pradeep P. Thevannoor was the Vice-Chairman of SCMS Group of Educational Institutions and an executive member of Self-financing Engineering College Management Association. He died in a road accident on November 17, 2014.

Dr. Pradeep’s astute leadership was instrumental in the success of various notable developmental projects of SCMS such as the Centre for Sustainable Water Technology and Management (a water research center started in an engineering college for the first time in Kerala) and the Neera project (the first neera research and pilot production unit in the private sector in the State) by SCMS Biotech and Bio-Sciences Research Institute. His yet another dream project was the production of biofuel from coconut oil at the biotech institute. The project was successfully completed, trial runs were conducted and preparations were on for its launch within a short time. He was keen on giving more priority to research and was the key person in ably guiding several notable achievements of SCMS in the field of R & D.
